Corwood’s packaging lines are built to ensure
quality throughout the process. The efforts of line
mechanics, packaging supervisors and QC support personnel
come together to manufacture products correctly
and on time. Specialized systems that have been designed by
our team monitor all activities. We consider ensuring quality
to be the most critical part of the packaging process.
Our
packaging and filling area is divided into two areas, the
north and south. The north area consists of high-speed rotary
fillers that are capable of filling more than 100 bottles
per minute, along with straight fillers and jar fillers with
speeds of more than 80 bottles per minute. The area also contains
semi-automatic filling lines that primarily handle small runs
or odd-size packaging. The south area is primarily used for
tube filling and flammable filling. Technologies used for
tube filling include hot air, hot jaw and ultrasonic sealing.
The flammable products area utilizes vacuum fillers, pressure
fillers and volumetric fillers, providing the ability to
handle a wide variety of products.
Support equipment used
throughout the north and south areas includes:
• Auto labelers:
wrap, double sided, and blow on
• Auto cappers
• Auto shrink
banders
• Induction sealers
• Semi-automatic shrink wrappers
• Ink-jet coders
• Automatic box machine
